The refrigeration principle of automobile air conditioners is similar to that of household air conditioners. They both use the principle of rapid expansion of the instantaneous volume released by R134a compression to absorb a large amount of heat energy for refrigeration. The structure of a car air conditioner is similar to that of a household split air conditioner. Its compressor is often installed on the engine and driven by a belt (also directly driven). The condenser is installed in front of the car radiator, while the evaporator is inside the car. When working, the low-pressure gaseous refrigerant from the evaporator flows through the compressor to become a high-pressure and high-temperature gas, which is cooled by the cooling tube of the condenser to become a high-pressure and low-temperature liquid, and then dehumidified and buffered by the liquid storage drier, and then stabilized The pressure and flow flow to the expansion valve, throttling and depressurization, and finally flow to the evaporator.

The refrigerant evaporates when it encounters a low-pressure environment, absorbing a large amount of heat energy. The air in the passenger compartment flows continuously through the evaporator, which reduces the temperature in the passenger compartment. After the liquid refrigerant flows through the evaporator, it becomes a low-pressure gas again, and is sucked into the compressor again for the next cycle.
In the whole system, the expansion valve is the organ that controls the refrigerant entering the evaporator. If the refrigerant enters the evaporator too much, it will not be easy to evaporate, and if it is too little, the cold air will not be enough. Therefore, the expansion valve is the adjustment center. The compressor is the heart of the system and the power source of the system cycle.
